Northwest Territories is positioned in the northern Canada, the province boundaries are Canada's two other lands, Yukon toward the west and Nunavut in the direction of the east, and three areas: British Columbia in the direction of the south-west, Alberta and Saskatchewan in the direction of the south.
Geological features contain Great Bear Lake, the biggest lake completely within Canada, Keller Lake and Great Slave Lakes, plus the Mackenzie River and the canyons of the Nahanni National Park Reserve, a nationalized park and UNESCO World Inheritance Site. Protective islands in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago comprise Banks Island, Prince Patrick Island, Borden Island, and fraction of Victoria Island and Melville Island.
The North-west Territories achieve for over 1,300,000 square kilometers so there is a huge weather variation from north to south.
