Massachusetts is a state in the New England province of the north-eastern of the United States. It is surrounded by Rhode Island and Connecticut in the direction of the south, New York toward the west and Vermont and New Hampshire in the direction of the north; next to its east lies on the Atlantic Ocean. Most of its inhabitants of 6.4 million live in the Boston municipal district. The eastern partially of the state is built up of metropolitan, rural areas and suburban whereas Western Massachusetts is generally countryside. Massachusetts is densely inhabited of the six New England states.
